It was the day before the launch. We went to the visitors center to
take the tours since the tours do not run on lanuch day.

Kennedy Space Center 7/1/06
This was launch day. We had to be there at 9am and the launch was
not
until 3:40 in the afternoon. Considering that 9 am EST is 6am PST, I
think we were doing pretty good.

We got there at about 8:30. We had
"Breakfast with an Astronaught". ...

Sam Gemar has been up in the shuttle 3 times. There is nothing to it.
The most challenging part? Going poo poo.

Elizabeth is shocked at his language!

But Daniel is OK with it.

Matthew and Jenny are just here for the food....

Time to cool off.

Or is that blast off?
OK, time to get on the bus!

Oops.. That's what happens when you fight over who gets the sunglasses.

The overly excited tourists.

Out on the causeway.

What we can see of the shuttle. The weather is great! They have got to
launch!

Not too many clouds in the sky....

Oh well. No launch today.... Drat!
